Yeah, it is a disgrace that the NBA and media are putting all their focus on this. The Cavs are off to maybe their best start in franchise history (30 some years).

Barkley is right though that LeBron should stay. What an honorable and noble man LeBron would be. He doesn't want to go down in history as a quitter, back stabbing player that builds up a team and leaves for the money. LeBron wants to be the greatest of all time. In my opinion, the greatest of all time is Michael Jordan for how he carried himself in the league, I weigh that higher than championships.
LeBron, I like that you simply didn't respond, because this topic needs to go away. But, more controversy will stir up because you called Barkley stupid. Focus on basketball!

Not gonna lie, I'm sick and tired of hearing everyone leap to the conclusion of LeBron leaving Cleveland in 2010. Who cares if it's a somewhat real possibility? In reality, in the present, the Cavs are doing incredibly well. Not looking so hot tonight, but for the most part, all I can say is damn.

LeBron knows what he is doing, the media isn't just making this stuff up. He is using it to build worldwide interest in his brand. Will he piss on Cleveland? Or will he piss on the media who believed it all?
This is probably the first time Lebron has said or done something "stupid" since he accepted a couple notorious throwback jersey back in his St. Mary days. Maybe it was taken out of context and the media is blowing it out of proportion. Maybe Lebron is turning into a greedy ass. I believe Charles is right. I think that if Lebron leaves for a large market team like the Knicks, that he is doing it for business reasons instead of for basketball reasons. I will lose a ton of respect for Lebron, whom I current have a ton of respect for. The Cavs have a built a championship caliber team around Lebron. If he wants to make a big deal about it, he should decide to stay and have Ferry/Gilbert bring in a guy like Bosh or Stoudamire. The Cavs will have the cap room to keep Lebron and sign another star. That team would go down in history.

The fact remains that LeBron says he's gonna go where the most championships are possible. Hopefully, after the next two years that place will be Cleveland. Because the Cavs will have the most cap space in the entire NBA in 2010, so he's gonna get his money. It pisses me off that he says to "watch out" for June 2010, but if he's gonna get asked these questions then of course he's going to provide an entertaining answer.

I won't lose respect for LeBron one way or the other. All of us have the right to go work wherever we want and he should have that same right to. His contract will be up and he will choose where he wants to go.
Saying that, New York has been a terrible franchise since they got to the NBA finals in 2000 and there is no rhyme or reason why LBJ would want to go there basketball wise. However, my Cavs will have a much better chance at retaining him if they can win a title or two over the next two years.
