Your wrong....right now....Eli Manning is THE BEST QB. He has the best winning pct as a QB out of those names this year, and he has been playing perfect. I would take a winner over Peyton, Drew, and Tony for now. Drew Brees is just a stat maching, but cant even lead his team to a lot of wins.

I kind of agree with both of you.
I would argue that Eli is a product of circumstances. Tom Brady is hurt, Romo was and still is hurt and plays for a mess of an organization (don't count out the Cowboys), Peyton's team has been inconsistent, and Brees is doing what he HAS to do to win (other parts of the team aren't).
Eli has done a great job. He does what he is asked. He is nothing exceptional though.

Eli is doing the most for his team. Letting his running backs pound the ball and making little mistakes. I don't care if Drew Brees throws 6000 yards. He is throwing like 60 times a game. Eli is efficient and doing it with less than all the above players.
I agree with KentState. Eli is the best as of this particular moment, but Peyton, Tom Brady, Brees, and occasionally even Roethlisberger are all better than him in more general terms. Don't get me wrong, I'd still love to have Eli on my team, but I'd much prefer Peyton or Brady.
bearcats--I agree totally. These things are fluid. As of this particular moment, Eli is the best. Talent-wise, however, you can't sit there and tell me that Tom Brady is a worse quarterback than Eli. I can't stand the Patriots and I'll even admit that Brady is probably the most talented quarterback in the league. That isn't to say that Eli isn't good--I'd love to have him on any team that I'd start. If I had a choice, though, I'd take Brady... assuming that he comes back from his knee injury alright.
Eli's doing great because the Giants have a running game. If Manning was forced to throw the ball like his first 3 years...he would be struggling a lot more. Its because Earth, Wind and Fire are rocking the offense. Peyton is definitely better still, you can't dismiss the power of playcalling on the field. Peyton is like an offensive coordinator in the huddle and at the line of scrimmage. Hands down Peyton.

Dartz, You say Eli is great because of the running game, I say Peyton is great because of Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison. I think Peyton is easily the greatest QB I have ever witnessed on the football field. But Eli is not making mistakes beating teams with just enough of a passing game. If Eli has another post-season he had last year and wins another Super Bowl would you lean towards Eli?

Gotta go with Eli. He has been fantastic since the end of last season hasn't slowed down since. He has the best winning percentage and is leading the Giants to another Super Bowl without his quote on quote best receiver Plaxico Burress.

Peyton is a better QB than Tom Brady, but Tom Brady will go down as the best to ever play the game. His injury is the only reason why Eli is getting any of this recognition, and of course because he won the Super Bowl.

Eli has a much better running game and defense than both his brother, Peyton, and Drew Brees. He has a much better TEAM than both of them as well (at the moment). The thing about Eli is that he's becoming polished at a time when the rest of his team is thriving. He is a very, very good QB, but he is not better than Peyton. He has hobbled around on one knee for the entire season, and his team very well may finish 12-4. Brees can't seem to pull out a win if they don't score 51, but I don't think he is better than Eli right now. Tom Brady is an overrated crybaby and he sucks. Tony Homo is overrated in that he plays like Favre without the intelligence for the game. This is the order: Peyton, Eli, Brees, Cutler, Brady, Romo.
