NFC North Becoming Best Division In The NFL

Lets take a look at the details...

The QB Position Around The NFC North In 2008:

 -   Bears and Kyle Orton, 12 interceptions, 27 sacks and 6 fumbles

 -   Vikings, Gus Frerotte and Tavaris Jackson, 17 interceptions 34 sacks and 9 fumbles

 -   Packers, a 1st year QB who gets a break in my book

 -   The Lions didn’t win a game, and the QBs led the league in concussions received

To Start Off 2009, Here Is The QB Situation:

 -   Rumors of the Vikings and Favre (though the possibility is fading)

 -   Chicago traded for Jay Cutler

 -   The Lions drafted Matt Stafford

 -   Aaron Rodgers could exceed his 28 TD’s in 2008

Other Notables:

 -   Minnesota starts their season at Cleveland, at Detroit, San Fran and Green Bay at home, and then at St. Louis. Three of their first 5 games are on the road, and Minnesota could start the season 5-0 with or without Brett Favre. It gets more difficult, but Minnesota will be a playoff team.

 -   Green Bay also starts off somewhat easy with Cincinnati, St. Louis, Detroit and Cleveland, meaning 4 of their first 6 games are very winnable.

 -   Detroit may be much improved because they made significant moves in the offseason. They will have the toughest time early on but will be more competitive than 2008, and will benefit from playing the AFC North and the NFC West.

 -   This is where it gets interesting, Chicago. Jay Cutler is a great quarterback, although I am not a fan of him. Personally he throws the ball erratically like Brett Favre at times and had decent receivers in Denver, which saved his butt most of the time. In Cha- town, life is going to be a bit different. Rashied Davis, Earl Bennett, Devin Hester and rookie Juaquin Iglesias all do not have the star power that he had with Brandon Marshall, Eddie Royal and Brandon Stokley. Cutler will make his receivers better, and the signing of Orlando Pace will also help the Chicago running game. Chicago could actually win this division. The toughest competition they will face is within their division.
