The Misery & Heartache Of Being A Cowboys Fan In 2009 by Mitchell Jacobs
Over the past few weeks I have been getting into heated sports debates with my best friend about his optimism and, well, my pessimism. I truly believe that a player, a sports team, and/or a team owner can give you heartache over a long period of time. I think that my heartache towards my teams have caused me to lose belief in the good that sports can bring to our lives. Maybe that’s why I am so angry towards some sports teams. The worst part is that no matter how angry I am, how bruised my heart can become, with each day that passes, I love it more and more.
Today, I take a look at an owner and organization that is in shambles.
Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys. Guess what, it’s your turn to get the heat.
Talk about a piss poor organization. At first I was so bummed when I found out the Cowboys signed degenerate defensive star Tank Johnson. The Bears couldn’t hack it with him so he was released, and now the Cowboys attempt to take advantage of the situation. The same thing happened with Pacman Jones and Terrell Owens. I was flipping out that the Cowboys are getting these players for chump change and working myself up over it. Looking back on it, they've won nothing with these players. I must say it feels great.
Instead of focusing on talented free agents, they tried to cut corners and get degenerate players. Shortly after, they realized the plan had gone sour, and got smart and instead made some very significant moves.
The Cowboys will have to make more significant moves in the near future, because they will lose 4 games to the Eagles and Giants, lose 4 more to the Panthers, Chargers, Packers and Seahawks, and split their other 8 games and finish 4-12 on the season.
DEBATE: Do you agree? What do you think of bringing on degenerate players such as Tank Johnson, Pacman Jones, and Terrell Owens? MORE RELATED CONTENT...
